About Project 180

What We Do

Project 180 is a Colorado non-profit organization that exists for one reason: to help people do a complete 180 in their lives — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. We host free, in-person events for people battling addiction, trauma, mental health struggles, or simply the weight of life. These events are designed to deliver a powerful, empowering message that sparks spiritual awakening — the kind of deep, soul-level shift that opens the door to real transformation.

We believe that awakening to your true self is the gateway to lasting change. That moment of clarity — when someone realizes they are not their past, not their pain, and not their mistakes — is when everything begins to turn. Our events are built to create those moments.

And because the people who need this most often can’t afford it, we make every event 100% free to attend — no tickets, no judgment, just an open door and a message that can change a life.

Where Your Donation Goes

At Project 180, every dollar you give goes directly toward creating powerful, transformational events — designed for people who are hurting and ready for change. These events are completely free to attend, because the people who need them most are often at rock bottom financially, emotionally, or spiritually. Your support makes sure there’s no barrier between someone and their breakthrough.

Each event costs between $5,000 and $7,000 to produce. That funding covers everything needed to make these life-changing moments possible, including:

  • Venue rental – Safe, welcoming spaces where people can feel seen, heard, and inspired.

  • Marketing and outreach – Social media and digital campaigns to reach those who are struggling and searching for something real.

  • Guest musicians and artists – Powerful performances that stir the soul and amplify the message of hope and transformation.

  • Event security – Professional, respectful staff to make sure every attendee feels safe and supported.

  • Film and media crew – To document the events and share real stories of transformation that ripple far beyond the room.

  • Connection team staffing – Volunteers and paid staff who help attendees connect with local spiritual communities, fellowships, and churches, as well as ongoing support options to keep the 180 alive after the event.

These events aren’t just shows — they’re sacred spaces for awakening. People walk in feeling broken, lost, or numb. They walk out seen, stirred, and alive with purpose. Your donation is what makes that possible.

Meet the Founder – Don Cummins

I’m Don Cummins — author, speaker, and the founder of Project 180. But before any of that, I was lost. I was a homeless, drug-addicted high school dropout. I robbed banks. I served over 20 years in prison. I battled mental illness, low self-worth, and thoughts of suicide. I lived in the wreckage for years.

And then something happened. I woke up.

I had a spiritual awakening — a moment where I realized that the man I had become was not who I truly was. I discovered that beneath all the pain and destruction was a good person who deserved a good life. That shift changed my life forever.

I got clean. I built a new life. I became a software developer, then a director. I became a husband, a father, a homeowner. An author and speaker. I became someone I never thought I could be.

Project 180 exists because I know change is real — and I know how it begins. And now I’m called to give it away.

Anyone struggling with addiction, trauma, mental health challenges, hopelessness, or identity loss. If you’re hurting and searching for more — these events are for you.

Yes. 100%. No cost, no strings attached. We never want money to be the reason someone misses their turning point.

What do you mean by “spiritual awakening”?
We’re not talking about religion — we’re talking about a deep realization of your worth, identity, and purpose. It’s that inner shift where you see the truth of who you are, and you decide to live from that truth.

How can I help?
You can donate, share our events on social media, or even sponsor an entire event. Every bit of support fuels a real-life 180 for someone in need.

Yes. At each event, we have a team dedicated to connecting attendees with local spiritual communities, recovery resources, and personal growth tools so they’re not just inspired — they’re supported.
